The Bursary Fund
The Catenian Bursary Fund is a charitable fund administered on behalf of the Catenian Association in order to help fulfil one of the Association's original and core aims, namely...
"To advance the interests of young
Catholics and to assist them in their
choice or pursuit of their career."
Grants from the fund are made as part of, or in conjunction with, other funding and never as a sole source of covering the total cost.
Grants are made to an individual only to assist in meeting the travel and living costs that may be necessary when taking part in a voluntary project. They are not made for any other purpose.
The Trustees have no preferred voluntary projects; all applicants will be individually considered, each on its merit. But it must be stressed that grants are not made to help pay for an applicant's educational course, for instance in the case of a medical elective.
How do I apply?
Obtain an application form from:
The Secretary to the
Trustees
The Catenian Bursary Fund
2nd Floor, 1 Copthall House, Station Square, Coventry, CV1 2FY
The form itself is self-explanatory and must be completed in full by each applicant before being returned to the same address.
Grants are not awarded retrospectively, so an application should be made in good time for the Trustees to consider it and make any enquiries they deem necessary. The Trustees meet regularly, usually five times a year.
The chosen project may be of any duration. Nevertheless The Trustees will find a project of some months' duration of more interest than one of only a week or two.
